"Many moons ago, in the city of El Trotdo a powerful quetzalcoatl called Chalchiuhtlicue gifted her ponies with prosperity, fruitful crops, lively summers, and floodless years.
These gifts came at a price, treasure gold jewels all sorts of valuable things. If the ponies ever stopped then the being would punish them.
One day the ponies of El Trotdo were starting to run out of treasure and they got scared that there wouldnt be enough to saccrafice in only a few moons and their gifts would be gone forever.
But then a unicorn was born with the special talent that made her the most important pony in the city. She could cast a spell to turn anything into gold.
When she grew up she was named the Gilded Princess and the city lived in peace for many years.
But it was not to last, explorers from far away lands were drawn to this city of gold through greed.
To make sure their alicorn’s gift could never be corrupted the ponies of El Trotdo hid the city never to be seen again".
as the old stallion finishes his story the room is filled with of delight from all the little fillies and colts, myself included. he packs the book into his saddle bag and beguns to walk off and try to run up to run up to him tripping over my own wing on the way, catching his attention."and then what happened grandpa?" I ask knowing full well he's not actually my grandpa, he's more like everypony's grandpa.
"Im sorry, gizmo but thats it. there is nothing else".
"But there has to be more! there just has to!" I cry stubbornly.
